Thailand: Ayutthaya 28 - 31 May
The cheapest train journey of our lives to get here - 21 pence each for one and a half hrs!
But then, why get a ferry that takes you nearly to the door of your hostel when you can trudge all the way round the river in the heat of midday?!!
Spent 2 days cycling around wats (temples) - plenty of time for Chris to rip his shorts on his saddle, get a flat tyre and a very sore bum! (not to mention culture overload!)Food was a tad disappointing apart from one family stand serving good Pad Thai and omelettes. Difficult knowing what to order when you don't know what it is, so any vendor who can speak a bit of English is a step ahead to start with!

Hello you two! Indeed V, you are correct - they have about 4 different pots of chillies for him to choose from on the table like we have salt and pepper - the locals are quite impressed when he finishes them off! Hx
