Thailand: Thaton 23 - 25 June

This is the most picturesque place we've stayed in! A guesthouse with a river view and a big gold buddha facing us from the temple on the opposite bank!

Our extra day here was spent motorbiking - with no automatics for hire we stepped up to a manual gearbox! Chris is beginning to like these motorbikes a little too much - I wonder how much one would cost in England?!

Fantastic long-tail boat trip to Chiang Rai - spent the first hour in glorious sunshine looking at the mountain views and kids/water buffalo playing in the river; the next hour we huddled together trying to avoid the heavy rain, unable to see past 2 metres! (note Chris's stylish windblown hair in the pic!)
